Weddings
At
Hoyt House, our staff is skilled in making dreams come true. You may wish
to share an informal service in the garden with a few friends and
family and or you might like to invite guests to a more formal
service, followed by dining and dancing under the stars. Whatever your
dream, we are available to assist so that your special day is relaxing
and enjoyable for everyone, including you!
Private
Events
Our Gardens
and lawns are wonderfully suited for outdoor celebrations of all kinds and offer
our gazebo, bandstand and terrace for ceremonies, seating, dining and
dancing. Private events require a minimum two (2) night room rental.
Capacity
The Gardens can accommodate 60
seated guests under tents, up to 100 at a cocktail party or standing
reception. Musical
Entertainment
The Gazebo and Bandstand are
electrified for your musical instruments or your plug in sound system.
Amplified music may be played until 10 pm in the Garden. Weather
Permitting!
We enjoy tropical weather most
of the year, which means generous amounts of sun and rain are always
factors to be considered. For protection against the elements
and peace of mind, tents are required for all 'tables and chairs'
events and those with 30+ guests.

Event Reservations
- A deposit is required to reserve Hoyt House or our grounds for
your event. These deposits are NONREFUNDABLE and are due at
the time of booking, so please be certain of your dates and the location
when you reserve for your event.
Officiate
- A Notary to perform a ceremony can be provided for a minimum fee of
$200. Arrangements may be made with the officiate to assist with
planning your service and vows, attend your rehearsal or to simply
officiate at the ceremony on the day of the wedding. Your
minister is also welcome to perform a ceremony.
Catering
- After you have booked your reservations, we can obtain pricing
for catering upon receipt of your fully planned menu, seating or
service plan and confirmation of the number of invited guests. Guests
may be served banquet or buffet style, at specialty food
stations, by waiters with passed trays or at a sit down meal. We
can assist with your catering plans. We can recommend caterers
or you may provide your
own caterer.
Self-catering
is available for wedding cakes
only. Planning
Services - We can assist in menu planning, decorating, food, cakes, tents, tables, chairs, flowers, decor,
photography, videography, makeup & hair, music,
performers, and to plan activities & rehearsal evening festivities for your
guests. Room
Rentals - When celebrating an event at Hoyt House, we may require
a minimum number of (2) night guest room rentals, depending on the
size of your group. This provides some space and privacy for a bridal party the evening before the ceremony, changing areas for
bride, groom and their attendants and additionally, gives
guests access to restroom facilities while they are on the grounds.
Smoking
- For the comfort of all our guests, Hoyt House is a non-smoking
facility, including the grounds. We do have a small area on the east
porch for smokers.
